# Double Marker: Marking interface

# Mark pupil responses in Double Marker

Once we have finished checking your scans and running our AI processes, we will send out marking links to everybody registered as a marker.

## Find your work

1. In the marking workspace, keep **My Assignment** selected for your allocated work.
2. Choose **By Script** to work through the questions on one pupil's script, or **By Question** to mark the same question across scripts. Select a question button in the grid to jump to that response.

The selected response appears as scanned page images on the left. The page scrolls to the selected question. The right panel shows the question's assessment objective, the **Mark** box and its maximum score, and the mark scheme. Select **Open PDF** in the mark scheme panel if you need the full mark scheme.

Question buttons with saved marks appear green. The selected button is highlighted. Warning labels above the grid and red outlines on some buttons draw attention to responses that may need a closer look. Read the response and mark scheme before deciding the mark.

## Enter and save a mark

1. Read the pupil's response and the mark scheme for the selected question.
2. Enter a **whole number from 0 to the maximum shown** in the **Mark** box. If the response earns no credit, enter **0**; an empty box is not a saved mark.
3. Select **Save** or press **Enter**. Wait for saving to finish. The workspace moves to the next allocated response in your chosen view.
4. Continue until you have marked every question response in **My Assignment**.

Typing a number does not save it. If you need to change a mark, select that question again, enter the corrected number and save it. You can switch between **By Script** and **By Question** without changing your saved marks.

**All Scripts** shows the wider task. Use it only if you have been asked to review work outside your allocation; return to **My Assignment** to check your own progress.

## Add a voice comment (optional)

1. Select the relevant question, then click the place on its scanned page where you want to attach the comment.
2. Select **Record**, allow microphone access if your browser asks, speak your comment and select **Stop**. Recordings stop automatically after one minute.
3. Wait for the transcription and read it. Select **Record again** if it is wrong, or **Submit** to save the voice note.

Saved comments appear as dots on the scanned page. Use the speech bubble button above the mark scheme to open **Transcribed voice notes** for the script; you can review or delete your own notes there. A voice note does not replace a saved numeric mark.

## Finish your allocation

When every allocated question response has a saved mark, you will see **Thank you for completing your allocation**. Select **Review marks** to revisit your work or **Sign out** if you are finished. Return to **My Assignment** if you were viewing **All Scripts** and want to check for this message.

Your school admin separately confirms that **all marking** for the task is complete. Until then, you can reopen your marking task to review or correct saved marks.
