# Excel Upload System Files Error

If you get an error saying that you cannot upload a file because the folder contains system files, this is because **Chrome** or **Edge** is preventing the website from accessing a folder that contains important system files. This is a security feature to protect your computer. 🛡️

There are three possible solutions:
1. Try Safari. Some people have found that Safari does not include the safeguard.
2. Try moving your files to a different location
3. Ask us for a Dropbox link

### Moving your files

You may find the solution is to **move the file you want to upload to a different folder**, such as your **Desktop**, **Documents**, or **Downloads** folder.

1.  Find the file you are trying to upload.
2.  Move or copy that file to a new location. Your Desktop is often the easiest choice.
3.  Go back to the website in Chrome and click the "Choose a different file" button.
4.  Navigate to the new location (e.g., your Desktop) and select the file from there.
