Which questions are you going to mark?
We are going to mark all the extended questions.
How will you mark the questions?
We will used AI-enhanced Comparative Judgement.
How will you deal with the optional questions?
We will mark literature options directly against each other, just as the exam boards would.
How do I know if the marking is accurate?
Our AI-enhanced CJ approach uses your teachers to make a number of decisions which allows us to determine human-AI accuracy, and make adjustments where required. You will receive an AI-disagreements report which highlights disagreements, and summarises the level of human-AI agreement.
How long will this take teachers?
Our standard model is for teachers to undertake 1 decision per script uploaded. Each decision will take around 30 seconds. The decisions can be shared, so a team of 6 English teachers with 120 pupils would make 20 decisions each per essay, which would take around 10 minutes.
What feedback will be provided?
The feedback will consist of transcribed and summarised audio feedback from your teachers and AI feedback.
How will you validate your results?
Our team of experienced psychometricians with over 20 years experience at exam boards and the regulator Ofqual have extensive experience from setting and maintaining standards at AQA to ensure that results will be validated.
How will you set grades?
Grades will be set at the cohort level using our moderation model. The model ensures that schools are placed on the same scale before grades are overlaid using national statistics.
