The task


The task is a creative narrative response to an image prompt.
If you're an existing APW subscriber, get your students to redraft the original piece of work they completed for the APW Year 6 assessment.
If you're not an existing APW subscriber, get your students to respond to the task and then get them to edit their response.

Key dates

Existing subscribers don't need to register - the task will automatically appear in your accounts.
New schools should sign up by Friday 2 May at the latest. As soon as you sign up you will get the task in your account and you can start work on it with your students.
Upload your writing to our website by Friday 9 May.
If you have chosen to do any human judgements, complete them in the week of Monday 19 May - Friday 23 May
The results will be published Friday 30 May.
