CJ Dynamo: what is the task and what conditions should it be completed in?

The task is the APW Year 6 task from February 2025. New schools can find the task by following the guide here.

General principle for all schools
Your students can redraft their response to this task taking into account feedback from you and from our student workbooks
Please do not over scaffold and over structure their redrafts so that they all look very similar!

Specific guidance for schools who DID take part in the original assessment
Your students responded to the original task in February
You can return their original piece of writing to them and ask them to redraft and improve it
You can give them our student workbook - but you don't have to
You can also give them some feedback of your own
The resubmitted piece should bear some similarity to the original piece!

If you took part in APW Year 6, your student workbooks will be available once you have accepted the GPDR agreement. You download those reports from the feedback section of your original APW Year 6 task.

Specific guidance for schools who DID NOT take part in the original assessment
Ideally, you would get students to make a first response to the prompt in cold conditions, provide feedback, and then ask them to redraft.
However, if that is not possible you can provide them with some feedback and guidance as they are writing their first draft.
We are open to flexible ways of approaching this task. What we do not want are 60 responses from 60 different students that are all extremely similar!
If you have any questions about this, you can contact us on support@nomoremarking.com
