Running Your Oracy National Assessments

Summary

  1. Upload a list of pupils.
  2. Download the task and instructions.
  3. Record the pupils (mp3, m4a) for no more than one minute.
  4. Upload the recordings and match the student to the recording.
  5. Judge the recordings.

Step by step

1. Lists of students

You upload a list of students in an Excel or CSV file in the normal way.

2. Download the task and instructions

You can find them under Download national assessment documents.

3. Record the pupils

Most phones will record using the m4a or mp3 format, both of which are fine. Only record the pupils, and stop the recording after 1 minute.

4. Upload recordings

Click on the menu item 1.c. and make sure you select Audio (coded).

Click on the Audio (Coded) Tab.

Now you can drag and drop your files. When they have finished uploading you will see a dialogue that allows you to associate each file with the student.

5. Judge the recordings

Judging proceeds as normal.
