Excel Upload System Files Error
If you get an error saying that you cannot upload a file because the folder contains system files, this is because Chrome or Edge is preventing the website from accessing a folder that contains important system files. This is a security feature to protect your computer. 🛡️
There are three possible solutions:
- Try Safari. Some people have found that Safari does not include the safeguard.
- Try moving your files to a different location
- Ask us for a Dropbox link
Moving your files
You may find the solution is to move the file you want to upload to a different folder, such as your Desktop, Documents, or Downloads folder.
- Find the file you are trying to upload.
- Move or copy that file to a new location. Your Desktop is often the easiest choice.
- Go back to the website in Chrome and click the "Choose a different file" button.
- Navigate to the new location (e.g., your Desktop) and select the file from there.
If the problem persists...
We offer direct MIS links to Arbor to avoid using an Excel or CSV file. For school trusts we offer a connection to Wonde.
