Getting started with post-16 writing
- Register & pay for the project. You'll need to set up an account on our website and then purchase the project called "Post 16". A full guide is here. The project costs £250. Once you've subscribed to the project, you'll then get email reminders about all of the subsequent steps.
- A task will appear in your account. Upload a spreadsheet of your student names to the task. A full guide is here.
- You can now download and print the personalised answer sheets. Each student will get two sheets of paper with their name and a code in the bottom left corner. They will write their response onto these papers. A full guide is here.
- Download and print the question (this is available now). A full guide is here.
- Get the students to write their response on the coded answer sheets! The responses should be independent work completed in controlled and exam-style conditions. Students should spend no more than one hour on the task.
- Scan in the answer sheets using your photocopier. Upload completed answer sheets to the task. A full guide is here. The deadline for uploading the completed answer sheets is Friday September 18.
- Do as much or as little human judging as you want. A guide to human judging is here. A guide to AI judging is here. A guide to how long the process should take is here. You should complete your quota of human judgements between Monday 28 September and Friday 2 October.
- Get results. You will get a set of PDFs with all of the data from the assessments. You can read more about these here. You will also get a set of PDFs with all of the feedback. You can read more about these here. Results will be available on Friday 9 October.
