How do I create a candidate file?
These are the instructions on how to create a candidate file for importing pupil details to your NMM task.
- Log in to your school's NMM paid subscription account.
- Open the relevant task by clicking the task name.
- On the Candidates page, click the a. Populate, generate, download & print coded sheets tab referred to as Step 1 on the screenshot below:
- Next, click the Candidate Upload tab referred to as Step 2 on the screenshot below:
- Then, click the Download Candidates Template referred to as Step 3 on the screenshot below:
- Once you have the template, delete the sample data and replace it with your own.
**These are all required fields and could not be left empty: **
Candidate: This data is used to identify each pupil and is the basis for the systematic creation of their unique code which will then match which piece of writing is from which pupil. e.g. 1, 2, 3...
PP: (UK only) Pupil Premium Status We provide PP- related results. eg. Y / N.
First_Name: First name eg. Chris. You could choose to use fake names but these fake names should be consistent from year to year because we provide progress reports over the years of participation. If the names change then there would be no progress report.
Last_Name: Last name eg. Harding. You could choose to use fake names but these fake names should be consistent from year to year because we provide progress reports over the years of participation. If the names change then there would be no progress report.
DOB: Date of birth eg. 31/01/2000. We provide age- related results and the basis for that is the pupil's date of birth.
Gender: M / F. We do not present this data to the student, but we do provide a breakdown for national tasks.
Year_Group: The national tasks are year group specific. eg. 7 for Year 7
Group: The teaching, class or registration group. Results will be grouped by this field for national
You may now proceed to importing your candidate file to the appropriate NMM task.
