Using the online editor to type submissions

Most of our national tasks require handwritten submissions, with the exception of older year groups, year 3 and above in Australia.

Candidate Login

Once candidate details are uploaded, candidates can log in to our online editor and type their responses. The login URL is a base address, such as https://au.nomoremarking.com/emu/terra/noter/

The three unique words in the login URL can be changed by pressing 'Generate New Words'. When you visit the base URL you will be prompted for a unique candidate code. Login codes for all candidates can be downloaded from 'Download Links (All Links)' or 'Download Candidate Links (Links by Group)'.

Typing the Answer

After logging in, candidates will be given a box to type their answer. A word limit will be shown, which, for custom tasks, can be changed in the task 'Settings' for custom tasks. The answer is periodically saved while the candidate is typing.

Submitting the Answer

Candidates are offered the chance to submit their answer. Upon pressing "Submit," they will be warned that they cannot change their answer. If a candidate submits too soon, their submission can be reset on the administrator's 'Candidates' page. Re-setting will not delete their answer but will allow them to add to it. Reset is done on the Candidates - View tab by selecting a candidate and clicking on the Reset button.

Managing Submissions

The 'Submitted' column on the Candidates -View tab page shows the status of each candidate. The specific time and date of submission is also provided in this column.
