🛠️ Step-by-Step Action Plan

1. Pre-Exam Preparation (T-14 to T-6)

  • Pupil CSV Upload: Populate the provided template with pupil names, candidate numbers, and class allocations.
  • Marker Details: Provide the email addresses of the English department teachers who will be marking. They will receive automated invitations to register on the platform.
  • Printing Booklets: Print the PDF booklets single-sided or double-sided (as specified in printing instructions) for use in the exam hall.

2. Exam & Scanning (Day 0 to Exam + 2)

  • Run the Mock: Pupils write their responses directly inside the response spaces in their booklets.
  • Prepare for Scanning: Guillotine or slice off the booklet spines.
  • Batch Scanning: Scan booklets in batches (maximum of 4 pupils per PDF file) and upload them directly via your unique scanning link.

3. Teacher Marking Window (Exam + 8 to Exam + 15)

  • Workload Reduction: Because marking is distributed at the question/item level (rather than marking entire booklets), teachers only grade a small, blind sample of pupil responses.
  • Target Allocation: Expect approximately 6 to 7 script allocations per teacher
  • Deadline: All marking must be submitted by Tuesday, 1st December 2026 to allow the rescaling engine to run.
